Micropelt GmbH started as a project of » Infineon Technologies AG (http://www.infineon.com/) in cooperation with the » Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques (Fraunhofer IPM) (http://www.ipm.fraunhofer.de/fhg/ipm_en/index.jsp) in Freiburg (Germany). Now it is a StartUp which is funded by » SHS (http://www.shsvc.net/), » MBG (http://www.mbg.de/), » KfW Mittelstandsbank (http://www.kfw-mittelstandsbank.de/DE_Home/), » L-Bank (http://www.l-bank.de/cms/db/startseite/lbank.xml) and » IBG (http://www.ibg-vc.de/). Our team develops thin film thermoelectric components based on semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Our Business: The manufacture and vending of thermoelectric components. We use » planar technologies and silicon wafers as substrates for Peltier cooler and thermogenerator devices.
Our Markets: » Chip spot cooling, » biomedical (PCR cycler), HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning), » Fiber Optics and » power generation (energy harvesting) for low power applications.
