ABB emphasizes autonomous wireless sensor activities

ABB customer magazine "Connect" 03/2010 reports on new RND efforts at research center Ladenburg - wireless sensors for process industry. These new intelligent devices use Micropelt thermogenerators for power supply.

Winner of IDTechEx Award RTLS/WSN

Both ABB and Micropelt are very proud that our common development was chosen for the “Best Technology Development of RTLS/WSN” award. This is a sign to the energy harvesting community, that the use of innovative miniaturized thermoelectric components completely integrated into a WSN can meet the specs of industrial applications. For us this award is a clear indication to continue our work and move from technology demonstrators available today towards industrial end products on the shortest time line.
